Yamuna Nagar, Haryana — Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several development projects in Yamuna Nagar, while also paying homage to Dr BR Ambedkar on his 135th birth anniversary.
Addressing a large gathering, PM Modi began by extending greetings to citizens on Ambedkar Jayanti. “Today marks the 135th birth anniversary of Babasaheb Ambedkar. I extend my heartfelt greetings to all citizens on this occasion. Babasaheb’s vision and inspiration continue to guide us on the journey of a developed India,” he said.
The Prime Minister also highlighted Yamuna Nagar’s industrial contributions, calling it a vital hub on the nation’s economic map. “Yamuna Nagar is not just a city, it holds a significant place on India’s industrial map. From plywood to brass and steel, this entire region plays a vital role in strengthening India’s economy,” he remarked.
Recalling his personal connection to the region, PM Modi added, “This in itself is a matter of pride — and I have many fond memories associated with Yamuna Nagar.”
The development projects launched include infrastructure upgrades, improved transport connectivity, and new industrial initiatives aimed at boosting local employment and regional growth. The Prime Minister emphasized that these initiatives are aligned with the government's vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India), ensuring that the benefits of progress reach every corner of the country.
