Puri police to learn Bengali

rBy A Staff Reporter: There is more about Bengal in Puri forcing local police to take to learning the language. "With eighty percent tourists from Bengal, I have taken the initiative to get my officers learn bengali," said Dr Kanwar Vishal Singh, superintendent of police, Puri. According to tourist profile created by Puri district administration, religious tourism is the main draw of Puri. "Most of the tourists are from West Bengal," a senior district administration official said. The state government has taken initiative to make Puri police and administration people friendly and ensure that language does not become a barrier.
