The Director General of Special Protection Group, (SPG) Arun Sinha expired recently while Reshmi Shukla, heading the Seema Suraksha Bal (SSB) has been appointed as DGP, Maharashtra.

A 1989 batch IPS officer PV Ramasastry is waiting in the wings, currently posted as special DG, BSF to take over as the head of either SSB or SPG.

Whispers in the corridors of power also indicate that another 1989 batch IPS officer, Neena Singh currently posted as special DG CISF is most likely to take over as head of SSB replacing Shukla.

ANM News has also learnt that YB Khurania, a 1990 batch IPS officer is widely tipped to either head the CISF after the retirement of the current incumbent or return to his parent cadre Odisha as the head of force.
