TMC MP Dola Sen Backs Nitin Gadkari's Call to Revoke 18% GST on Insurance Premiums

New Delhi: TMC MP Dola Sen has publicly supported Union Minister Nitin Gadkari's letter to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, urging the immediate revocation of the 18% GST on life and medical insurance premiums. "I agree with Nitin Gadkari's letter. I want that the 18 per cent GST that has been implemented on life and medical insurance premiums should be revoked immediately. If she (Nirmala Sitharaman) doesn't do it, then she should resign," Sen stated emphatically. Gadkari's appeal to the Finance Minister highlights concerns over the financial burden the tax imposes on policyholders.
