BY A STAFF REPORTER: Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP released its manifesto called 'Sankalp Patra' and promised a Uniform Civil Code, One Nation One Election along with other motives on April 14, Sunday.
While addressing the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared the ideas and motives of the party and asserted that the party focuses on youth, women, farmers, and the poor. The party assured implementation of the UCC and one nation one election system.
The BJP aims to improve transgender rights and include them in the Ayushman Bharat Scheme. Moreover, senior citizens over the age of 70 would also be included in the scheme.
PM Modi promised an extension of the free ration scheme for five years. He also guaranteed cheap pipe natural gas and free electricity. Moreover, the BJP also extended the Mudra loan scheme to Rs. 20 Lakhs.
In the railway sector, the party aims to introduce bullet trains in all sections of India including North, South, and East as the western bullet train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad is in the works. The party would also introduce three new types of Vande Bharat trains.
PM Modi also stated that personal laws will be amended as per modern needs. He vowed to eradicate corruption and arrest the corrupt after a thorough investigation.
The manifesto was launched in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and BJP National President JP Nadda, in the party headquarters.
