By Avideep Nandi Majumdar: Mumbai airport was full of chaos on Sunday night as flights from Mumbai was delayed due to poor weather, caused due to cyclone Biparjoy. Mumbai witnessed heavy winds. Some flights were also cancelled. Air India announced that some of its flight had to be cancelled due to shutting down of runway 09/27, inclement weather and factors beyond their control. According to one twitter user, Boris Dsouza, flight from Mumbai to Bangalore was delayed twice and boarding gate was changed five times. This was due to Air Traffic Congestion at Mumbai airport. Indigo Airlines also regretted their decision to make change in schedule. 7 flights had conducted a go arounds and had come in to land around 10.30 pm. as gusts grew, one after another pilots of the 4 back to back arrival flights aborted landings to climb for a second attempt to touch down. Diverted flights included Malaysian Airlines MH194 from Kuala Lumpur which was diverted to Ahmedabad in Gujarat, Indigo 6E5381 from Chennai diverted to Ahmedabad, and Air India 638 from Ahmedabad diverted to Shamshabad.
