Indian para athletes Sumit Antil and Bhagyashree Yadav have been named as the flag bearers for the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Paralympics. The announcement was made at the farewell ceremony of the Indian Paralympic contingent.
Bhagyashree Yadav and Sumit Antil have been named as India's flagbearers for the Paris Paralympics 2024 and will lead the country's 84 athletes. It is going to be a special moment for India as well.
Sumit Antil is the men's F64 javelin throw Paralympic champion since Tokyo 2020. He is a two-time world champion and holds the world record in this category.
On the other hand, Bhagyashree Yadav won the silver medal in the women's shot put event in the F34 category at the Asian Para Games. She also participated in Tokyo 2020 where she entered the final before finishing seventh.
