BY A STAFF REPORTER: Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) vice-president Satya Prakash Sangwan has been appointed as the head of mission of the Indian team. According to sources, the announcement was made on Tuesday. Sangwan has more than a decade of experience in the Paralympic movement. As Head of Mission, she will lead India's largest contingent of 84 para-athletes. Indian players will play 12 games.
Sangwan said, "It is a great honour for me to be given this responsibility. I am committed to ensuring that our athletes have everything they need to thrive at the Paralympics and make India proud. "
PCI President Devendra Jhajharia said, "Satya Prakash Sangwan has been an integral part of the Paralympic Committee of India for more than a decade.
