BY A STAFF REPORTER: Elections were held in Rajasthan today on November 25. However, the residents of Jaipur's Palawala Jatan village boycotted the polls. According to sources, this boycott is due to the demand to link Palawala Jatan with Tunga. Not a single villager came to the booth to vote since morning. These villagers have also boycotted the last seven elections.

Angered by the state government's indifference, official indifference and the inaction of public representatives to resolve their problems, the villagers of Palawala Jatan boycotted the elections. Polling began at 7 am in Rajasthan and 40.27 per cent polling for 199 assembly constituencies was recorded till 1.30 pm, the Election Commission said on Saturday.
