BY A STAFF REPORTER: The first non-stop flight of Air India Express from Bengaluru to Ayodhya landed successfully on Wednesday after completing almost 2 hours of journey.
The flight took off at 8:41 AM from Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport and reached Ayodhya's Maharishi Valmiki International Airport at around 11:29 AM. The flight was running around 1 hour late as it was scheduled to take off at 7:30 AM. A passenger revealed that earlier they had to reach Ayodhya via Lucknow. He also mentioned that news of Ayodhya's development spreading on social networking platforms brings joy.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi Inaugurated Ayodhya's Maharishi Valmiki International Airport along with the Ayodhya Railway Station on 30th December last year. Moreover, the terminal building can attend up to 10 Lakh passengers yearly. The Airport depicts the theme of Ramayana and features murals of Lord Ram.
Earlier today, Civil Aviation Minister, Jyotiraditya Scindia inaugurated the maiden Air India Express flight connecting Ayodhya to Bengaluru and Kolkata.
