BY A STAFF REPORTER: The maiden flight of Air India Express from Kolkata to Ayodhya completed its journey successfully on Wednesday at Maharishi Valmiki International Airport.
The flight took off from Kolkata's Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport at 2:36 PM and landed at Ayodhya's Maharishi Valmiki International Airport at 4:25 PM. Moreover, the flight was running 2 hours and 12 minutes late as it was scheduled to take off at 12:45 PM. Few passengers on arrival revealed that travelers chanted slogans of 'Jai Shree Ram' on the flight.
Civil Aviation Minister, Jyotiraditya Scindia on Wednesday inaugurated the maiden Air India Express flight connecting Ayodhya to Kolkata. Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath joined the ceremony through video conference from Lucknow and received the boarding pass for the first flight between Ayodhya and Kolkata. Moreover, Yogi revealed that four international airports have been established in the state.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi Inaugurated Ayodhya's Maharishi Valmiki International Airport along with the Ayodhya Railway Station on 30th December last year. Moreover, the terminal building can attend up to 10 Lakh passengers yearly. The Airport depicts the theme of Ramayana and features murals of Lord Ram.
The consecration procedures of the Ram Temple began on Tuesday, January 16, and will last seven days. Over 7,000 dignitaries are expected to attend the grand Pran-Pratishtha event on January 22nd in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.
