AAP To Organize Community Fast Tomorrow

BY A STAFF REPORTER: The Aam Aadmi Party will organize a community fast to protest Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal's arrest at Jantar Mantar on April 7, Sunday, AAP leader Gopal Rai informed on Saturday.

The Community Fast will be held in capital cities of all states across India. Moreover, the community fast will begin at 11:00 AM in Delhi's Jantar Mantar tomorrow. Those who cannot attend the event may fast at their respective homes. Gopal Rai also claimed that Indians living in America, England, Germany, Norway, Ireland, Australia, and Canada will also participate in the fast event. The event is being held for the early release and well-being of Arvind Kejriwal.

The authorities shifted Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to Tihar Jail and lodged him in jail number two following the orders of Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Monday. Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court granted Judicial custody of 15 days to Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi Liquorgate on April 1, Monday. Previously, Kejriwal was under the Enforcement Directorate's custody in the Delhi excise policy case since his arrest.

The Enforcement Directorate arrested Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal from his residence in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. He was arrested following search operations and Interrogations conducted by the ED at his residence on March 21, Thursday.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh walked out of the Tihar jail on Wednesday as the Supreme Court on Tuesday granted him bail as the ED failed to recover money pertinent to the scam. Moreover, he was arrested on October 4, 2023. However, the bail is not precedent.
