Arvind Kejriwal Requests religious books for his Judicial Custody

BY A STAFF REPORTER: As the Delhi Court remands CM Arvind Kejriwal for 15 days, he has requested to carry four books including Bhagavad Gita, Mahabharata, Ramayana, and How Prime Ministers Decide for his Judicial Custody in Tihar Jail on April 1, Monday. 

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal requested three key Hindu texts to carry in the Tihar Jail. Moreover, he has also requested medicines and, a special diet including home-cooked food along with a table and a chair. 

Moreover, he will be shifted to the Tihar Jail once the paperwork is included. Preparations are underway at the Tihar Jail. Also, Satyendra Jain, K Kavitha, Manish Sisodia, and Sanjay Singh are amongst the other accused in the Excise Policy case who are currently lodged in the Tihar Jail. 

Unlike ED Custody, Arvind Kejriwal will not be permitted to meet anyone daily or sign documents. During his ED custody, Kejriwal used to meet his wife Sunita Kejriwal every evening. Subsequently, Sunita Kejriwal conveyed Delhi CM's message to the nation through video statements. In Tihar Jail, he will be accessible merely once a week.

Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court granted Judicial custody of 15 days to Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi Liquorgate on April 1, Monday. 

Moreover, Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday extended Arvind Kejriwal's ED remand till April 1 in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. The ED demanded a seven-day extension of Kejriwal's custody due to his alleged evasive replies and non-cooperation in the investigation. However, the court extended the remand for four days.

Furthermore, Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court Remanded Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal to ED Custody till March 28 in the Delhi Liquorgate case on March 22, Friday.   The decision came as ED demanded 10-day custody of Kejriwal and submitted 28 pages of evidence alleging his involvement in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam. 

The Enforcement Directorate arrested Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal from his residence in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. He was arrested following search operations and Interrogations conducted by the ED at his residence on Thursday evening.
