BY A STAFF REPORTER: Shortly after Tihar Jail issued a statement refuting Atishi's claims, Delhi Minister and AAP leader Atishi on Wednesday claimed that Arvind Kejriwal weighed 69.5 Kg on the day of his arrest.

Atishi asserted that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal weighed 69.5 Kg on the day the Enforcement Directorate arrested him. However, he now weighs 65 kg as per Tihar Jail.

Earlier today, the Tihar Jail issued a statement confirming that Kejriwal's vitals are checked daily and remain stable. His sugar levels and blood pressure remain normal while his weight hasn't decreased. Moreover, he is provided home-cooked food every day as per his request.

The statement came after Atishi alleged that Arvind Kejriwal is severely diabetic and has lost 4.5 Kg since his arrest. She also claimed that his health is worsening in the custody.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted bail to AAP MP Sanjay Singh, one of the accused in the case as the ED failed to recover money pertinent to the scam. Moreover, he was arrested on October 4, 2023. However, the bail is not precedent.

The authorities shifted Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to Tihar Jail and lodged him in jail number two following the orders of Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Monday. Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court granted Judicial custody of 15 days to Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi Liquorgate on April 1, Monday.

Moreover, Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday extended Arvind Kejriwal's ED remand till April 1 in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. The ED demanded a seven-day extension of Kejriwal's custody due to his alleged evasive replies and non-cooperation in the investigation. However, the court extended the remand for four days.

Furthermore, Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court Remanded Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal to ED Custody till March 28 in the Delhi Liquorgate case on March 22, Friday.   The decision came as ED demanded 10-day custody of Kejriwal and submitted 28 pages of evidence alleging his involvement in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam.

The Enforcement Directorate arrested Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal from his residence in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. He was arrested following search operations and Interrogations conducted by the ED at his residence on Thursday evening.
