Bidhannagar traffic collapsed with two IPS officers clueless

By A Staff Reporter: Bidhannagar traffic broke down with officers completely failing to maintain semblance of normalcy. The Kolkata police stepped in with deputy commissioner of police traffic Surya Pratap Yadav and officers of Beleghata traffic guard managed movement of vehicles well inside the Bidhannagar police jurisdiction.

There were hardly any policemen in any of the four police stations in Salt Lake and many incidents of crime went unattended. Both deputy commissioners Indira Mukherjee and Bishop Sarkar were unavailable and their juniors at the police station claimed both were clueless.
