BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a controversial statement, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Friday accused BJP workers of threatening the assembly speaker and slammed the BJP for conspiring against the CM.
While addressing a rally in Himachal's Solan, CM Sukhu alleged that BJP workers on February 27 threatened HP assembly speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania a day before the Budget session. He further remarked that the BJP has sold its integrity.
Furthermore, CM Sukhu assured the people of Himachal Pradesh that he would devote himself to the welfare of the people and the state. Sukhu asserted that he will never be a victim of BJP's conspiracy.
Himachal Pradesh Assembly expelled 15 BJP MLAs due to their alleged misconduct and sloganeering on 29th February. Moreover, six Congress MLAs were disqualified for cross-voting for the BJP during the Rajya Sabha elections held on 27th February in Himachal Pradesh. Congress lost its lone seat to BJP's Harsh Mahajan in the Rajya Sabha elections held on 27th February.
