Calcutta High Court slams West Bengal government for failure to arrest Sheikh Shahjahan

By a Staff Reporter: Calcutta HC slams the West Bengal govt for its failure to arrest Sheikh Shahjahan in the Sandeshkhali violence case. HC says prima facie it seems like that the "mastermind" is being protected by the ruling dispensation. "He is defying the law, the govt should not be supporting him" says Calcutta HC Chief Justice. 

Bench led by Chief Justice further says "He is a people's representative. His mandate was to do good for the people. He has instead caused them damage. If one person can hold the entire population to ransom, that person should not be supported by the ruling dispensation" says HC.
