Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva Detained During Protests

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, Delhi Police detained BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva during BJP's protest demanding Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation in Delhi on March 26, Tuesday.

Moreover, BJP workers breached the barricade and moved towards the Secretariat during their protests. Further, BJP workers launched massive protests at the ITO demanding arrested Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's resignation. 

Top BJP leaders including MP Manoj Tiwari, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, and Party President Virendraa Sachdeva were also present at the protests. 

On the other hand, AAP is gearing up to stage a Gherao around PM Narendra Modi's residence in Delhi against Arvind Kejriwal's arrest. Punjab Minister Harjot Singh Bains was also detained during protests. 

Furthermore, Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court Remanded Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal to ED Custody till March 28 in the Delhi Liquorgate case on March 22, Friday. The decision came as ED demanded 10-day custody of Kejriwal and submitted 28 pages of evidence alleging his involvement in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam. 

The Enforcement Directorate arrested Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal from his residence in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. He was arrested following search operations and Interrogations conducted by the ED at his residence on Thursday evening.
