BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, AAP leaders and Delhi Ministers Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj along with AAP MLAs staged a protest outside the Delhi Assembly against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s Arrest on March 27, Wednesday.
The protesters raised slogans demanding the release of Arvind Kejriwal. Moreover, they raised slogans against alleged tyranny. Moreover, Atishi stated "All the AAP MLAs are protesting today against the illegal arrest of Arvind Kejriwal. Democracy is being destroyed in this country. All the opposition leaders are being jailed and their bank accounts and party offices are being sealed. A sitting CM has been arrested, that too after the announcement of the national elections. His arrest is an attack on the democracy."
The Delhi High Court started hearing Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s plea against his arrest and remand in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case today.
Furthermore, Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court Remanded Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal to ED Custody till March 28 in the Delhi Liquorgate case on March 22, Friday. The decision came as ED demanded 10-day custody of Kejriwal and submitted 28 pages of evidence alleging his involvement in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam.
The Enforcement Directorate arrested Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal from his residence in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. He was arrested following search operations and Interrogations conducted by the ED at his residence on Thursday evening.
