District Magistrate Took A Review Of MSME Department

BY A STAFF REPORTER, WEST MIDNAPUR: Today i.e 29.06.24 District Magistrate Paschim Medinipur took a review of MSME department of the district and held a comprehensive discussion with all chambers of commerce regarding their issues and the following points were resolved.

 

1.Regardingline departments actively associated with industry such as Land WBPCB Fire WBSEDCL SWID for ground water all pending applications have to be processed in a time bound manner.

 2.Regarding Khasjungle industrial centre follow up action has to be taken regarding handover of the same to WBSIDC.  

3.Recently notified scheme of artisan benefit by forming industrial cooperative and death benefit scheme was explained and chambers were requested to publicise and invite applications. 

 4. issues regarding individuals entrepreneurs were discussed and respective departments directed to give time bound resolution to the grievances and which shall be reviewed in next meeting.

 5. ⁠Infrastructural and encroachment issues at WBIDC and Khasjungle industrial park were discussed and district authorities were directed to resolve them and submit a status report in next meeting. 

 6. ⁠Regarding state aided industrial parks at 4 locations in the district WBSIDC was directed to  take up land development works and allotment of the land in due process to entrepreneurs.
