Kolkata, West Bengal: An Enforcement Directorate (ED) team has completed a raid at the residence of Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College, as part of an ongoing investigation into financial irregularities. The ED also raided several other locations as part of its probe.
The investigation is linked to a case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The ED registered the case following allegations of financial mismanagement during Ghosh's tenure at the college.
Ghosh is currently in the custody of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the same case. The ED's actions come as part of coordinated efforts to unravel the extent of the financial irregularities involved.
