Dilbag Singh and his Illegal Possessions

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Dilbag Singh, a former member of the Legislative Assembly from Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) arrested in relation to the illegal mining case and fraudulent e-conveyancing practices on 8th January Monday.

The enforcement directorate recovered 100 liquor bottles, Rs. five crores in cash, five foreign-built arms, and 300 bullets while conducting a search operation at the Haryana politician and his associates' residence on Friday, 5th January. Consequently, the ED arrested Singh today along with his associate Kulwinder Singh. 

Dilbag Singh is a previous legislator of INLD from Yamunanagar assembly seat. He along with his right hand Kulwinder Singh will be produced before a local court for further investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) 2002.

The Haryana Police registered multiple FIRs to probe into the alleged illicit mining of boulders, gravel, and sand in Yamunanagar and its nearby districts. These exercises were continued after the lease period's termination despite a ban imposed by the National Green Tribunal.
