Rajeev Kumar set to become next DGP?

By A Staff Reporter: Former Kolkata police commissioner Rajeev Kumar is all set to become the next director general of police following the superannuation of current top cop Manoj Malviya at the end of December.

Sources at the state secretariat told ANM News that chief minister Mamata Banerjee summoned Rajeev to her office for a discussion giving rise to speculations that he is the choice for the top post. According to sources close to the home department, Sanjay Mukherjee, administrator FSL, Dr Rajesh Kumar, member secretary PCB and Rajeev Kumar were in the fray for the top job.
