BY A STAFF REPORTER: Shortly after the Supreme Court slammed Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi, DMK leader K Ponmudi on Thursday accused RN Ravi of working beyond the powers bestowed upon governors by the constitution.
Moreover, K Ponmudi emphasized that the swearing-in and removal of Ministers comes under the Chief Minister, not the governor. "The court has clearly said that the governor has no role in it and warned him of going beyond the constitutional authority" he added.
Earlier today, the Supreme Court slammed Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi for refusing to reinduct K Ponmudi as a state minister upon CM MK Stalin's recommendation, and despite a pause on his conviction.
