HC summons report to state in the Convoy case of Suvendu

By A Staff Reporter : The Calcutta High Court has called for the state's report on the convoy case of Suvendu Adhikari.Justice Rajasekhar Mantha summoned the case diary from the CID.It has been directed to inform by next Wednesday what arrangements are made by the state for the security of the VIPs.The next hearing of the case is next Wednesday. On Thursday, the judge said in a verbal order that the convoy case cannot be questioned before the next order.

Incidentally, in the case of the death of a cyclist in Chandipur, it has been claimed that deceased person was hit by Suvendu's convoy. The family of the deceased approached the court demanding a CID investigation. Meanwhile, Suvendu approached the court seeking a CBI probe into the incident.
