BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a tragic incident, 16 people lost their lives while 50 suffered injuries as a bus veered off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Akhnoor, Jammu on May 30, Thursday.

The bus was carrying passengers from Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, and fell near the Chungi-Morh on the Jammu-Poonch Highway.

The rescue operations are underway and the exact number of casualties is yet to be ascertained.
