Locket Chatterjee Criticizes Mamata Banerjee's Inaction on the RG Kar Medical College Incident

Kolkata, West Bengal: BJP leader Locket Chatterjee has expressed strong support for the Calcutta High Court's decision to order a CBI investigation into the rape-murder incident at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. Chatterjee criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, stating, "We welcome this because we know that in all such incidents that have happened in West Bengal, no action has been taken by Mamata Banerjee."

She further emphasized the need for a thorough investigation, asserting that "Kolkata Police and the CID cannot do this" due to their initial mishandling of the case. Chatterjee revealed that the police had falsely informed the victim's parents that it was a suicide, underscoring the importance of the CBI securing evidence before it can be tampered with.

"This heinous crime was not a one-person job," Chatterjee added, urging the CBI to expose all influential people involved in the incident and ensure justice is served.
