BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a controversial statement, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday accused the BJP of hindering Congress' Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra and declared that he is not afraid of Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and Himanta Biswa Sarma in Dhubri, Assam during his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatri.

Moreover, Gandhi alleged that Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is the most corrupt CM in the country. He accused him of spreading hate in Assam. Earlier, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah passed similar remarks accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party of disrupting Congress' Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.

The statement comes after Congress MP Rahul Gandhi was prevented from entering Guwahati during Congress' Bharat Jodo Yatra yesterday which resulted in a clash between the congress workers and Assam district police. Subsequently, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma ordered the Assam DGP to book Rahul Gandhi for provoking the crowd and violating agreed guidelines. A case registered against Rahul Gandhi under section three of the PDPP Act was transferred to Assam CID today.
