Pran-Pratishtha: Three States Declare 22nd Jan As 'Dry-Day'

Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa also announced 22nd January as dry-day.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: As the consecration ceremony approaches, three Indian states have declared the historical date as a 'dry day' which means the sale of liquor beverages will be prohibited on that day. 

The Chief Ministers of Assam, Uttar Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh have declared a dry day on 22nd January in the view of Ram Temple consecration ceremony. Moreover, educational institutes will be closed in Uttar Pradesh on the orders of CM Yogi Adityanath. Vishnu Deo Sai, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh emphasized that Chhattisgarh is Lord Ram's maternal birthplace therefore a dry day will be observed on 22nd January. Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa also announced 22nd January as dry-day. 

The much-awaited Ram Temple consecration ceremony is scheduled for 22nd January in Ayodhya Uttar Pradesh which will be attended by numerous dignitaries and prominent personalities.
