BY A STAFF REPORTER: Days after his arrest, the Supreme Court began hearing Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's plea challenging his arrest in the Delhi Liquor Policy Case by the Enforcement Directorate on April 29, Monday.
The Supreme Court questioned why Arvind Kejriwal had not filed a bail application before the trial court. Senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi appearing for Kejriwal replied that application for bail was not filed because the arrest was illegal.
The Rouse Avenue Court on Tuesday extended Arvind Kejriwal's judicial remand till May 7. He was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in the Delhi excise policy case on March 21, Thursday.
