Waterlogging and hawkers’ encroachment: KMC offer details

Kolkata is pushing towards solving the two most vexed problems, waterlogging and encroachment by hawkers. The Kolkata Municipal Corporation has assured citizens that there will no large scale water logging in the city this monsoon season and a plan is being put in place for solving the hawkers’ issue. In a candid interview with Editor in Chief of ANM News, Avijit Nandi Majumdar, member mayor in council, sewerage and drainage of KMC, Tarak Singh admitted to the problems and explained ways that are being taken to overcome them.
