West Bengal: Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Kunal Ghosh has expressed support for citizens protesting against the RG Kar incident, emphasizing the party's commitment to justice. Ghosh highlighted that the Kolkata Police swiftly made an arrest within 24 hours of the incident. However, he criticized the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for its lack of progress, stating, "Now, so many days have passed, and the investigation is in the hands of the CBI, yet there has been no development. This is why we are supporting the protesting citizens."

Ghosh also took a firm stance against what he described as politically motivated activities, saying, "We oppose any political event sponsored by parties like the BJP, CPIM, or Congress, who are trying to create anarchy in the state."

He further commented on the controversy surrounding Sandip Ghosh, noting, "There was a problem of public perception regarding Sandip Ghosh. The Health Department should have taken action against him sooner to avoid the embarrassment."

Ghosh's remarks underscore the TMC's dual approach—supporting public demands for justice while denouncing political maneuvers aimed at destabilizing the state. The incident has highlighted ongoing tensions between the ruling party and also between opposition forces in West Bengal.
