Vegetable chop is a popular street food in Bengal and during festivals the demands go up and up. Here is the recipe of that mouthwatering road style chop as snack.

By a staff reporter: Heat a kadai and roast fennel, cumin, cardamom, cinnamon, dry red chili, black peppercorn, kalonji. After cooling down grind to powder. Peel carrot, potatom beetroot, raw peanuts and after washing them cut into big chunks. Boil and remove from heat. Take out all the vegetables and drain out all the excess water. Grate the vegetables. Add oil (1tbsp) and then add grated ginger and the vegetables. Add the powdered spices and crushed peanuts. Now add salt and sugar and cook for 5-6min. Switch off the heat. Make small ball shapes. Make thin batter with water and corn flour. Dip the vegetable balls in the batter and roll them in bread crumbs. Deep fry the balls.
