Vivek Sahay is govt's choice as new DGP of West Bengal

State govt of West Bengal selected 1988 batch IPS officer Vivek Sahay as director general of police.

By A Staff Reporter: The state govt of West Bengal selected 1988 batch IPS officer Vivek Sahay as the next state director general of police to helm the elections. Sahay is the the senior most IPS officer of the state and was overlooked by the Mamata Banerjee government for the top post.

Vivek has served in various capacities in state and central police services and was director security of chief minister during the last assembly elections.
