We Promised UCC Before Coming In Power: CM Pushkar Singh Dhami

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami informed that his government promised to introduce the Uniform Civil Code Bill in Uttarakhand while addressing a ceremony on 8th February in Dehradun. 

He further stated that there will be one law for people of all religions, faiths, sects, communities, or castes in Uttarakhand. Furthermore, Dhami was attending a ceremony celebrating the passing of the UCC bill in the assembly. 

In a historic move, the Uttarakhand assembly passed the Uniform Civil Code bill on 7th February. Moreover, it also became the first state to pass the UCC bill.
