BY A STAFF REPORTER: Shortly after inaugurating the first underwater metro, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address an all-women's rally in West Bengal's Barasat, North 24 Parganas on 6th March, Wednesday.

While addressing the all-women's gathering, PM Modi emphasized that before 2014, only the 28-kilometer route of the Kolkata Metro was constructed. However, a 31-kilometer route was constructed during the last 10 years, he claimed while asserting that modernization of public transport is a priority of India's government.

PM Modi also took a jibe at the Congress-led INDIA bloc. Modi remarked that the INDIA bloc has begun to tremble to see the NDA forming a government at the center. He further responded to Congress' 'Modi doesn't have a family' jibe, saying that the gathering present at the rally is his family.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on his second visit to West Bengal this month. Earlier today, he inaugurated and traveled in the first underwater metro in Kolkata's Esplanade Metro station. Furthermore, he is currently addressing a women's rally in Barasat where he is expected to meet the Sandeshkhali victims.
