West London side Fulham FC has progressed to Carbao cup semi final after defeating Everton at Goodison Park by 6-7 on penalties. The match had ended 1-1 after Beto had cancelled Michael Keane 41st minute own goal. The match had limited chances, with Evertons Jarrad Branthwaite and Dwight McNeil missing the target. Just as it seemed like this dull match would end in a goal less first half, Fulham took the lead. Fulham Antonee Robinsons cross hit the chest of Michael Keane and rolled into the net. Everton, after conceding had a brilliant chance to equalise but James Garners free-kick hit the post. Chances were few and far in between in the second half. It seemed like Fulham had done enough to go through to semi final. However, Amadou Onana slotted the ball past Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno to take the match into penalty shootout . In the shootout, Bobby Reid had missed Fulhams 4th penalty, and Onana had the chance to seal the deal and take Everton through. However he missed and became Evertons villain. Fulham took advantage and converted all their chances and Idrissa Gueye missed his penalty as well, and allowed Fulham to progress at Evertons expense.
