New Delhi – Double Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker has grown resilient through her journey in professional shooting. Reflecting on her experiences with online criticism, the 21-year-old emphasized that her focus remains strictly on her sport, and external opinions do not affect her mindset.
"I am really happy that I have already seen the downfall phase; it has taught me a lot of patience," Bhaker told, explaining that those challenges prepared her for handling social media criticism. "It doesn't really bother me what people talk on social media. Honestly, I don’t need to cope with that—why would I need to?" she added, underscoring her unwavering dedication to her training and career.
According to Bhaker, her "business" is solely her sport, and she’s determined to keep her priorities intact. "I couldn’t care less about what people are saying about me," she said. For Bhaker, the critical voices are inconsequential, as she draws her strength from her supporters who have stood by her. "I want to thank the people who have been there for me throughout my journey," she shared. "They make sure I’m mentally and physically ready for the big games."
While Bhaker appreciates those who genuinely admire her journey and take an interest in her story, she remains unfazed by negativity. "People who are hating—I don’t think I really care about them," she said confidently.
As a two-time Olympic medallist, Bhaker’s resilience is a testament to her strength, cultivated through the highs and lows of her career. She continues to focus on achieving excellence in her sport, letting her performance speak louder than criticism.
