canopy collapsed at Delhi airport's Terminal-1

The union government has ordered a technical probe to find out the cause of the accident in Terminal 1 of the Indira Gandhi International airport. A driver was trapped inside the vehicle and died and four others were injured in the accident when a portion of the roof of the structure came crashing down on the vehicles waiting to pick up passengers. The civil aviation minister K Rammohon Naidu mentioned that once the technical audit is complete, the government will be able to identify the cause and fix responsibility. The minister of state for civil aviation Murlidhar Mohol told ANM News, that he is visiting the injured at the Safdarjung Hospital. Both Naidu and Mohol took stock of the situation and informed that normal operations at Terminal 1 will begin only after all safety clearances are complete. Opposition accused the NDA government of neglect claiming that no attention was paid to maintaining the infrastructure. Sources at the IGI Airport in Delhi told ANM News that there are chances of resumption of normal operations at T1 from tomorrow.
