Alluri Sitaram Raju is little known outside Telugu-speaking regions. He organized the guerrilla war against the British from 1922 to 1924. He mobilized the tribals in the Rampa region north of the Godavari. The British were quick to overpower him. But this warrior died cause of Thomas George Rutherford.
