North Korea fires missile from submarine

BY A STAFF REPORTER: North Korea has reportedly fired two missiles from a submarine. South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said the military was on high alert and that the country's intelligence agency was working with the US president to analyse specific information about the missile launch. An underwater launching drill of the strategic cruise missile was held in the early hours of Sunday, in which the "8.24 Yongung" submarine launched two strategic cruise missiles into the waters off the east coast of Korea. According to sources, the missiles traveled about 1,500 kilometers and hit targets in the sea.
