Jammu: Acting on intelligence inputs regarding the infiltration of active terrorists into Indian territory, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday conducted multiple raids across Jammu, targeting individuals suspected of links with banned terrorist organizations.

According to the NIA, its teams conducted extensive searches at the residences of over ground workers (OGWs) associated with newly-formed offshoots and affiliates of terror groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). These groups have been responsible for several attacks in the region and are known to operate with support from across the border.

Officials stated that the searches aimed to uncover networks providing logistical and financial assistance to terrorists attempting to enter India. The NIA reportedly seized digital evidence, incriminating documents, and electronic devices during the raids.

The move comes amid rising concerns over cross-border infiltration and the reactivation of sleeper cells in the Union Territory. Security agencies have stepped up their crackdown on terror networks, with more operations likely in the coming days.
