BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday took a jibe at the Central government for Congress' frozen bank accounts and asserted that they are fighting against 'Asur-Shakti'.
While addressing a presser with Congress Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi maintained that the BJP has greatly damaged democracy by blocking the bank accounts of the largest opposition party (Congress).
He further asserted that the idea 'India is the world's democracy' is a complete lie and there's no democracy in India today.
Gandhi also argued that 20% of India are their voters and they are not able to pay Rs. 2 for anything. Moreover, he alleged that the move is orchestrated to cripple their party in the elections.
Moreover, Rahul Gandhi claimed that due to frozen bank accounts, they cannot organize political campaigns, or pay their workers or candidates and this was done just two months before the elections.
The Indian National Congress addressed a press conference at their party headquarters in Delhi where they attacked the BJP for 'freezing' Congress' bank accounts.
