Delhi: As pollution levels continue to rise in the capital, a resident from Kalindi Kunj has expressed frustration over the environmental issues affecting daily life. The resident highlighted how the polluted Yamuna River, where vegetables are grown and consumed by locals, is a direct threat to public health. "We are affected by the pollution in Yamuna by the vegetables that are grown here which we consume. The air pollution directly affects all of us, especially asthma patients," he stated, noting the health hazards faced by many residents.

The resident further lamented that life expectancy in the city has been reduced due to the poor air quality, with people being forced to stay because of their jobs. He criticized the lack of government action, saying, "A week ago, Delhi had clear blue skies. Sanctions and bans should be imposed on certain practices in the states which are causing Delhi to choke."
