New Delhi — Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav, accompanied by senior party leaders Manoj Jha and Sanjay Yadav, arrived at Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence at 10, Rajaji Marg, on Monday. The meeting is expected to focus on seat-sharing arrangements and a joint strategy for the Bihar Assembly elections scheduled later this year.
Sources indicate that the discussions between the two key INDIA bloc constituents are aimed at streamlining their alliance’s preparedness and resolving differences over constituencies. Both the Congress and RJD are looking to present a united front against the ruling BJP-JD(U) alliance in Bihar.
While no official statement has been released following the meeting, political observers view this high-level engagement as crucial, particularly with talks of growing pressure within opposition ranks to finalize alliances early.
Tejashwi Yadav, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, has been vocal about opposition unity and the need for a collaborative approach to counter the BJP’s political dominance in the state.
