Mumbai: As India gears up for the Champions Trophy 2025 final against New Zealand on March 9, star batter Suryakumar Yadav remains confident about the team’s approach.
Speaking about the high-stakes match, he said, “I have already said that we are playing good cricket. If we continue playing the same way, then the final is just another game.” His comments reflect India’s composed mindset as they prepare for another ICC showdown.

Addressing concerns over Rohit Sharma’s fitness, Suryakumar strongly defended the Indian captain’s contribution, highlighting his remarkable consistency in leading the team to multiple ICC finals. "If you see him as a captain, in the last four years, he has taken the team to the finals of four ICC trophies. That is a big achievement," he said.
Praising Rohit’s work ethic and experience, he added, “He has been playing cricket for 15-20 years, and I have seen him closely. He works very hard. According to me, he is at the top, and I wish him all the best for the finals.”
