Greentech Environ nurturing the lung of City of Joy

Staff Reporter- All old waste that is dumped will be have to be processed too following scientific method as per CPCB Guidelines issued in Feb 2019.This is being done at the instance of National Green Tribunal . Now all household waste will be collected in a segregated manner and processed .
           Biomining of legacy municipal solid waste at Kancharapara dump site in North 24 Paraganas. This is one of the most ambitious project of KMDA which is being executed by M/s Greentech Environ Management Pvt ltd of Kolkata.In this project , old legacy waste is first stabilised and decomposed through bioremediation process and then the waste is screened through screening machines to get various material fractions like compost . Compost is used in cultivation and horticulture , RDF is used by Waste to Energy plants and cement plants as fuel and inert material is sent for land filling.
