Police rescued Indigenous Corbine-AK47

On 26.08.2022 at 21.35 hrs in pursuance of secret source information Pandaveswar PS held raid at Ramnagar 03 No Colliery, PS-Pandabeswar, Dist- Paschim Bardhaman in the house of accused Sunil Paswan aka Sholay Paswan (45) S/O Lt. Mahabir Paswan and succeeded to arrest him and recovered One improvised Country made AK47 type gun, 2 nos of Carbine type gun, One SBBL gun, One Big pipe gun, 8 rounds of 7.62 mm live ammunition from his possession. Over this Pandabeswar PS Case No 100/22 Dt. 26.08.2021 U/S 25(1B)(a)/35 Arms Act was registered. The arrested accused forwarded before Ld Court with a prayer for 10 days PC remand.

Police also recoverd One improvised Carbine gun, 2 rounds of 9 mm live ammunition was seized with the help of DD team of ADPC . In another Pandabeswar PS case no. 111/21 Dt. 19.08.2021 U/S 25(1B)(a) Arms Act (i) One Country made improvised 9 MM pistol with Two magazine along with 02 Live Ammunition (ii) One 8 MM bore Musket type big gun (iii) One iron made fiber grip 9 MM bore Carabine Gun with one magazine was recovered.

On enquiry it was learnt that accused Sunil Paswan previously worked as a body guard of one Late Noor Alam S/o Wahab Sk of Dalurbandh 08 No under Pandaveswar PS who was the Kingpin (2002 to 2019) of the Pandaveswar Area and also engaged in different type of clandestine business of coal and sand and also involved in other illegal activities. After Noor Alam death in the year 2019 the above noted accused person and associates absconded from this area. In this regard sharp vigil was continuing and on 26.08.2022 further he was arrested and recovered above noted arms and ammunition. Special team of Pandaveswar Police also DD, ADPC team is investigating to unearth the manufacturing point and source of such illegal arms and to recover more weapons and to arrest other associates.
