By a staff reporter: The story behind the 20 Kilometre midnight chase in Panagarh which resulted in the death of an event manager has turned a full turtle.

Asansol-Durgapur police citing CCTV footages along the national highway and narrow road of Panagarh indicated that the event manager’s car was chasing a white car. Police officers investigating the incident said that even driver of the event manager’s car claimed that he lost control while chasing the white car and crashed. Speaking to ANM News after conducting a complete probe into the incident, Asansol-Durgapur police commissioner Sunil Choudhury claimed that CCTV footage indicated that a white car had grazed the event manager’s car while trying to overtake and then sped away. “The event manager’s car chased the white car and even crossed them and waited. But the white car occupants being local took a side lane and went into their locality near Panagarh Rice Mill Road. The driver of the event manager’s car figured out that the white car had entered into a bylane and went after the vehicle. At a sharp turn he lost control and crashed. Most of these are captured on CCTV footages. There is no complaint of teasing or repeated car assault from any of event manager’s friend or her driver,” Sunil Choudhary said. The event manager Sutandra Chatterjee, 27, was sitting in the front seat of her vehicle when the car crashed and she bled to death. Police has seized both the vehicles. The incident happened half an hour past midnight at Panagarh about 150 Kilometres from Kolkata.
