BY STAFF REPORTER: CISF has tightened rules at the Kolkata airport and has warned that airport staff will not be allowed to jump the queue while entering through the passenger gates of the departure terminal. A CISF top brass faced off with a senior General Manager of Airport Authority of India on Thursday.

The senior officer of the airport authority tried to bypass the staff gate ---Gate 3C meant exclusively for the airport staff and officials to enter- and tried to get ahead of passengers standing in the queue and enter the terminal building. The CISF personnel stopped her at the entrance which led to a face off between the officers. The CISF officer later informed ANM News that he stood firm in his stand of not allowing airport staff and officials to enter through the passenger gate after jumping the queue and instead advised them to use the staff gate. The passenger gates are usually crowded with long queues and the matter is compounded when airport officials and staff force their way inside the same gate.
